In a national first, the UK showcased the strength of its mutual sector as member-owned organisations without shareholders from across the financial services, healthcare, retail, sports and education sectors met to discuss the growing relevance of the mutual model and its contribution to the UK economy, society and the appeal it holds to consumers.

Keynote speaker Rt. Hon Hazel Blears MP, Secretary Of State for Communities was joined by experts from building societies, mutual insurers, employee-owned organisations, foundation trusts, cooperatives and the football supporter trusts, in the first national event of its kind.
